ROTARY DISTRICT 5100
Essentials of Rotary Knowledge (ERK)
This course is designed for those Rotary members desiring to improve their knowledge about Rotary and how they might use this to become better members and potentially more effective leaders in their clubs, the district or beyond. This training will be invaluable for those who will serve as future club leaders. Instructors are all experienced in their subjects and offer personal interaction with the participants.
This is an eight month effort covering the following subjects
- History of Rotary International
- Organization of Rotary International and District 5100
- The Rotary Foundation (TRF)
- World Community Service (WCS)
- Club Service
- Community Service
- Vocational Service
- Membership Development and Retention
- New Generation
Requirements:
- Be an active member of a Rotary club in District 5100
- Commitment to complete each module of study on time
- Attend District Assembly March 12, 2011 in Newberg or April 11, 2011 in eastern Oregon
- Attendance at 2011 District Conference April 29-May 1, 2011 in Seaside, OR
- Pay a $40.00 registration fee
Application forms are available from the club presidents-elect, the district office and online at the district website www.district5100.org. Applications will be accepted until July 31. All applications will be subject to review and approval by the Essentials of Rotary Knowledge course Committee, as class size will be limited to forty (40).
