Haiti Earthquake Relief

THE ROTARY FOUNDATION ESTABLISHES FUND FOR EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

TRF LogoThe Rotary Foundation has established a Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund a donor advised fund, to streamline the flow of contributions from U.S. Rotarians.

The fund will be directed by account holders who will work with local Rotary clubs and districts, as well as emergency relief agencies, to meet the most pressing needs of people in affected areas.  District 7020 in the Caribbean will be coordinating much of the Rotarian relief effort through its Haiti Task Force, set up two years ago to administer all financial aid to the nation.

We will not be setting up a District 5100 Fund, as it will be faster for Rotarians and clubs to help at this initial stage by sending donations directly to the Rotary Foundation's Fund, ShelterBox or other organizations suggested by RI.
